8.1 Scope

The scope of this policy is to ensure that reliable information and data is available for informed decision making. The information gathered reflects the context and mission of Scoil Mhuire. Data reports are generated and communicated to staff and management for self- monitoring and planning purposes.

A Data Committee is responsible for monitoring the implementation of this policy.

The members of this committee are:

• Director of Adult Education
• IT and Data Management Officer
• IT and Data Administrator
• Quality Officer

8.2 Objectives

The Information and Data Management Systems are capable of:

• Maintaining secure learner records
• Providing reports for internal quality management and improvement
• Generating data for external regulatory purposes
• Generating statistical and other reports on the QQI database as prescribed by legislation.
• Ensuring that the data are accurate and complete and are maintained securely.
